Finished watching the Arkansas victory and decided to watch the one Zags game I missed this year, GU v. Arkansas. Does anyone remember that game, remember POUNDING Arkansas. It gave me a better understanding of why we are where we are at the moment. I know we have debated this topic a lot, with fear of being called "excusers" or "whiners" but I think those of you that think our current health situation shouldn't be factored into how good this team is needs to go back and watch that game again, or any game in which Pangos, Bell, and Dower were healthy. Damn guys, those three were REALLY good and Gonzaga's offense was extremely difficult to stop. Now we have Bell out, Dower and Pangos, at best, 60% healthy. That really has made a difference in our ability to score. Kevin was just out of this world when he was healthy and both Sam and Gary had many amazing moments as well. . Other guys have stepped up and helped carry the load, which has been one blessing that has come out of this mess but I just think all of you that are poised to really hammer the Zags as not being very good this year, go back and watch one of those early games against decent competition prior to the injuries. (save Dayton, maybe) I think you will all realize how good this team can be when we get healthy. Hopefully that comes sooner than later and maybe it won't at all, which is the only thing that really makes me nervous. But if I could assume that we can make it back to that level of health, my angst level reduced dramatically. I think it could have a similar impact on many of you.
