I went to high school with this guy for his freshman and sophomore years where he played on the varsity squad and put countless hours into the gym and weight room. When he stepped onto campus as a freshman he was just a tall lanky guy, and has filled out since then and is at least 6'6" and weighs close to 240. Donaven is a phenomenal basketball player and provides an array of talents of driving the lane, posting up guys and his best ability is being a shooter from the wing. He is very underrated for his abilities where only Scout.com has ranked him a three star and isn't ranked on other major recruiting websites. If Gonzaga misses out on him, it would definitely be a tough loss because he fits the team mentality where he credits his teammates before himself and would fit in very nicely with the program Coach Few has established.
Here are his highlight reels from his junior year with Timberline High School, he is number 33.
