Kelly Olynyk and the NBA Draft Early Entry Dates

  1. April 10: NBA Undergraduate Advisory Committee Application Deadline
  2. April 15: NBA Undergraduate Advisory Committee Response Deadline
  3. April 16: NCAA Early Entry “Withdrawal” Deadline
  4. April 28: NBA Draft Early Entry Eligibility Deadline (11:59 pm ET)
The Undergraduate Advisory Committee, helps give prospects a unbiased opinion on their draft stock, where they are likely to get drafted, if at all.
There is no "Testing the waters" process anymore (as Jeremy Pargo did before returning for his senior year.)
An undergraduate may declare anytime before April 28th for the draft. They can seek the guidance from a number of sources about whether to stay in school or continue in the draft. If they decide to return to school, they must withdraw from the draft by April 16th.
Kelly could declare between now and April 16, yet still return to Gonzaga (as long as he does not hire and agent). If Kelly does not declare before April 16, he still has until the 28th to enter the draft, and would not be eligible to return.
While we would all love for April to pass with Kelly returning to GU, I am sure I am not alone in wishing him the best with whichever team drafts him, either this year or next.
