Just saw that the investigation the NCAA had going in with St. Mary's has finally completed and the news is not good for them. I certainly hope, for the sake of the competition in the WCC that they can stay on track. We have seen how valuable their consistent pressure has been in making runs like the one this year a reality.
Basics of their sanctions are:
-Four years probation
-Five game suspension next year of Randy Bennett and being bound to only "on-campus" recruiting.
-No Preseason or In-Season tournaments
-Loss of two scholarships
-In addition, an unnamed former assistant is basically black-balled for 2 years by the NCAA.
