So I hopped over here looking for a game preview, thinking, "Come on Zach and Max, get one up already!" But then I thought, "Hey, it's LMU. I can bang one out myself in like 3 minutes." So here goes:
Tonight Gonzaga looks to improve to 23-2 against the feckless hoopsters from LMU. It is a rematch of Jan 31's bloodbath in the foothills overlooking LAX, in which the Zags scored more than twice as many points in a nearly unwatchable 40 minutes of domination. This game, however, will be played at the MAC, so adjust +s for Kennel Club and home cookin', and --s for the warm, sedentary, acoustically-muffling bodies sitting across from them. Any margin of victory under 30 points will likely be looked on as a bad sign, unless Rem Bakamus and Brian (?) Bhaskar (?) lead the team in minutes.
And speaking of minutes, look for plenty of bench play tonight. Minutes for everybody! (except Guy Landry Edi, who has been relegated to the darkest of dark places reserved for athletic, black wings in Mark Few's system -- good luck, Gerard Coleman!) Can KD and PK continue to look like starters against wretched opponents? Will Kelly Olynyk's All-American campaign continue to be derailed by not having to play?
Other hot questions going into tonight's contest include, "Why?" "Why are we still in this crappy conference, getting doused in sticky layers of mediocrity for the 10 weeks heading into the tourney?" and "What's the Catholic 7 up to, anyway?"
Now let's avoid the fate of Florida. Go Zags!
