First off. Love the site and all that join in all the discussions. This is without a doubt the best site to talk all Gonzaga! Zach and the crew do a kick butt job! I hope that all on the site have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Now down to business. I believe that Zach said it best in conversation with guy from West Virginia. The fan base for the most part is divided in to two groups. Old school and new school. I respect both sides of the coin. I fall in to the old school group. To see where this program has come from in the last fifteen year is amazing. They could get only few hundred at game. In 1994( I'm old) after our high school games, we would walk into games without tickets and sit dang near court side. We would shoot baskets after games. Now days, you couldn't give away your first born to get into a game. The new school fan, all they know is a packed house. Games on ESPN, and make the big dance is just what they do. I can understand the disappointment by some of the people on the site. But I must admit the negativity on site seems to be at all time high. Maybe it's just the holidays. After seeing all the posts about this years team, I believe that there is another group out there. It's the never happy group. After the greatest season in Gonzaga history many were say that it was a bad season. I could understand the disappointment, but some went off the deep end. Calling for Few to step down. Going into this season I thought there would be some tempered optimism. After 10-1 record, you would think that this team was below 500 with all the negative comments. My question is, what did you expect? This team lost four player off the roster. Three were starters. One starter was a first team All-Amercian. Most teams not only take a step back, some teams fall out of the top 25. It takes some teams a year or two recover. This team is 10 and 1. I know that the schedule isn't as tough as has been in years past. You still can't much better than 10 and 1. Some of the people out there just never happy. They can't recruit. Few doesn't get his players to play with fire, and doesn't communicate with players. That so called lack of fire got them to a number one ranking and a one seed in the big dance last year. As well as the most wins in school history. The schedule suck! How many weak schedules has Gonzaga has in the last ten plus years? It's one year! This years favorite quote. This team has very little "MOXEY". Pangos in particular. Time after time he has stepped up and carried this team. West Virginia playing on a jacked up toe show in MOXY? After this long winded rant, I just have one question. What were you expecting?
