Before I start, shout out to Rob, I think Cookie Duncan should be shaking in his boots!
I remember, pre-season, we had a discussion of which Zag newcomer would have the biggest impact on season, and KO was included as a candidate since he'd redshirted previous season.
Not trying to toot much, but I was the only one who predicted KO would have greatest impact. An anesthesiologist I work with suggested I was high with the supposition! To me, anyone who had seen his natural feel scoring around hoop, and above average outside shot, for a legit 7 footer, was crazy not to see an incredible upside.. granted, he needed to learn to focus mentally. No doubt he used his year off well to put on muscle, obviously. And I would be lying if I suggested I expected THIS kind of output! wow
KO is nigh unstoppable with his left sided, right hand release drive! He has a nice 20 ft J, and a beautiful 12-15 foot side banker. Hit him on a break, and he will instinctively find best route to hoop. Matter of fact, it seems to me, the more clutch the shot, the less time he has to think about things, the more effective this prodigy becomes... I love his role as second to third option after KP or E; the H bomb waiting in the wings!
