We all know that in every experience (good and bad) their is something to be learned.
So what did our beloved Zags learn in Indianapolis.
1. They learned that they truly are an elite team and we are an elite program.
2. They learned that they are capable of playing magnificent basketball against
a great adversary in a very hostile enviroment.
3. They learned that instructions from our coaches must be communicated in a way
not to be overheard by the other team.
4. They learned that the ghost of basketball past ( UCLA Morrison-Baptiste ) does revisit
if you let him
5. They learned THAT tough decisions under fire are necessary ingredients
to win games, like this one, whether that decison is made by our coaches or
by one of our seasoned players in the moment. ( to foul or allow the floater ).
It's easy to be the proverbial monday night quarterback but not easy to make
the difficult call in the heat of the moment, that takes the courage of winners
AND that courage can be learned !!!
