Another awesome job by Michigan State's AD thinking outside the box and putting together something REAL special in honor of Nike's founder Phil Knight. Save the date for November 2017, when sixteen of college basketball's most storied programs will meet in Portland for an early season tournament. In order to circumvent the NCAA's rule prohibiting teams from the same conference playing before the regular conference season start, the tournament will be setup as two distinct eight-team tournaments featuring:
ACC: Duke & North Carolina
Big-10: Michigan State & Ohio State
Big-12: Oklahoma & Texas
Big East: Connecticut & Georgetown
SEC: Kentucky & Florida
WCC: Gonzaga & Portland
A10: Butler & Xavier
Pac-12: Oregon & Stanford
