Seth Berger 2013 SF out of the Seattle area

Seth Berger a 6'7 SF based out of Ballard, WA is creating some buzz in the basketball world. He currently plays AAU ball for the Emerald City Pioneers. Seth has a game that has been compared to Adam Morrison and yet is still a bit of an unknown, ironically similar to Morrison he hasn't received much attention heading into his senior season. He currently has interest from GU, WSU, FSU, Nevada, Drake but still no offers. Seth had a solid junior season for his highschool club. 15.3 ppg, 9.0 rbg, 1 apg, 1.4 spg, pretty solid avg.

His exceptional play has now been noticed and he was recently invited to the Reebok Breakout Challenge that took place in Philadelphia, PA July 10-13 which featured a number of the top prospects in the country. Heres what they had to say about him:

Seth Berger - 2013 Small Forward from Ballard/Emerald City Pioneers (WA) The major standout from Saturday was a virtual unknown who came into Reebok Breakout Camp and made a name for himself. Berger continued his hot performance with the Emerald City Pioneers as his pullup jumper, ability to get in the lane and size drew a buzz from gym to gym in Philadelphia. At 6-foot-7, the wing prospect had the ability to create his own set shot and tore it up against a solid Showtime All-Stars team. Despite his size and shooting ability, Berger has no offers heading into his senior season. With some interest from Nevada, Washington State, Gonzaga, Florida State and Drake, he will likely land some offers next week. If not, that would be shock. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what happens if and when Gonzaga offers him a scholarship. As Berger's dream school, he has somewhat of a similar game to former Zag, Adam Morrison . Is the Ballard star about to breakout?

I say we go after this guy. Kinda frustrating to me though is that we already have two schollies filled for 2013 in Edwards and Meikle. I dont want to take anything away from Edwards and Meikle as I am sure they will be a great addition to the GU program, just feel that we may have jumped the gun a bit on offers for those two so early on. I know the staff has seen them play and they know what they are doing, still seemed like a quick trigger with there being many prospects out there such as Seth Berger. It will be interesting to see if the staff follows Seth's recruitment more closely, or perhaps offers.
