Pangos getting some sold ink in this Insider article. Not only is he ranked in the top five but he has also been labeled "Best Freshman Guard." The thing that excites me most with Pangos is that he is not the type of player who jumps ship to the NBA so the prospect of seeing him develop over a few seasons is exciting to say the least. Here is his summary for those who don't have Insider access: 4. Kevin Pangos, Gonzaga Bulldogs See No. 7. Pangos can be usefully summarized in broad strokes as Trey Burke, but much more accurate. Way back in November, "the book" on Pangos was to force him to put the ball on the floor, but when opponents realized this excellent perimeter shooter was also making 55 percent of his 2s, that book had to be thrown away. Pangos was a three-star prospect coming out of high school in Canada, and his slightly built 6-1 frame won't land him on any all-airport teams, goodness knows. But to this point in the season, he's been the best freshman point guard in the country.
