SD Union-Tribune: Skylar Spencer, a 6-foot-9 power forward from Price High in Los Angeles, was scheduled to take an official recruiting visit to Washington later this month. Fly to Seattle, see the city, tour the campus, meet the players, talk to the coaches.
He’s not going.
Spencer verbally committed to San Diego State shortly after concluding a weekend visit to Montezuma Mesa, giving the Aztecs the big man they were missing from a 2012 men’s basketball recruiting class rapidly shaping up as one of the finest in school history. Spencer was pursued by most top programs on the West Coast before narrowing it to SDSU and Washington.
