As I examine our 2011 recruiting class it looks very promising. But there is not much buzz regarding our 2012 class.  It seems we have lost some early recruiting battles already, Katin Reinhardt to name one (cant say we really lost him), now rumors are Skylar Spencer is no longer being recruited by Gonzaga. A few months back Spencer listed GU and Florida State as the front runners for his services.   An article updated today on scout.com has Skylar listing SDSU, Nevada, WSU, and UW as his top 4.  Skylar will visit SDSU Sep 4th.  What hits a nerve is WSU and UW in his top 4...It seems that GU was recruiting Spencer from the start.

 Why are we losing these recruiting battles recently?  Does the coaching staff have a different direction? Players losing interest? Donny daniels to blame? I dont know, maybe there is a reason, as of right now I seem to think we are just losing these recruits to other programs.  Im hoping for some positive news soon.  

Spencer I believe would have been suited for the PF position @ GU.  Well now lets hope that either KO comes back on a mission, or Spangler ends up being a stud from the get go.  If thats the case, this loss wont hurt so bad.
