The 2011 Gonzaga recruiting class has pulled in some tremendous honors this year.  Gary Bell was named Washington's Mr. Basketball, Kyle Dranginis took home state player of the year...again, and Bell, Dranginis, and Spangler all took home Gatorade Player of the Year in their respective states.  Well, we've got another addition to the trophy case and this is a pretty big one.

Bridge Creek senior and Gonzaga signee Ryan Spangler has been named to the Parade All-American team.  As I'm sure most of you know, the Parade All-American team is the longest running high school All-America team in the country.  It began in 1957 and each year Parade, along with the Sporting News, selects the top 40 seniors from across the country.  The full list and article will run in the April 3rd edition of Parade Magazine.

Spangler obviously had a tremednous year and his gaudy stats really drive home the point.  In Oklahoma 4A basketball, Ryan averaged 30 points, 17 boards, six blocks, and 4.5 assists a game.  He recorded five triple-doubles this season which includes a quadruple-double.

Congrats to Ryan on this very prestigious honor!
