Last night SMC hosted Kent State in the opening round of the NIT. Kent State came into Moraga as the 7 seed while SMC was the 2 seed. It was a fairly close game, but there were times when it looked like SMC would pull away. Just when I thought SMC had it in the bag, Kent St fought from behind and was able to take a 1 point lead with about 5 seconds left. SMC called a timeout, got the ball up the court quickly, and then McConnell missed a layup allowing Kent St to leave Moraga with a 71-70 win.
And just because I like surveys, I'll throw one out there.
