The Pilots are 12-3. 38 RPI. On paper they are better than the the Zag's. But I beg to differ. Take a look at their schedule, and specifically their game against Kentucky. Portland goes 4-20 from behind the arc and they lose. You know that Kentucky did their homework. Portland lives behind the line and they knew it. Portland, over the last 2 years typically shoots about 50% from behind the arc. I think Stohl lead the NCAA last year in 3-point percentage. He was held to 1-7 against Kentucky. I hope Few's staff watched this game carefully and is planning on playing a similar of defense on Saturday. Another interesting point is that if you go to the Pilot's (or NCAA) website, all they seem to talk about is the "dominating" front line they have with the three seniors (led by Jack's kid), all at 6'8"+. Am I missing something? They may have played well this year against lesser opponents (which is most of their schedule -- including a weak Utah team), but they did not show up agianst Kentucky. I think that if we can defend the three and play a half-way decent offensive game that we should win. What do you think?
