ESPN Rumors filled a large post poached exclusively from Max's last write up. Not sure how long it will be up so here it is:

The hype surrounding Gonzaga freshman Bol Kong started even before the 2010 season began. The 6-foot-6 wing was supposed to be the piece that lifted Gonzaga into the final rounds of the NCAA tournament. However, Kong never got into a consistent groove and now, according to the 'Zaga fan site, The Slipper Still Fits, Kong is just the latest departure for coach Mark Few. Another, point guard G.J. Vilarino, has pledged his troth to Appalachian State and diaper-dandy head coach Jason Capel.

Vilarino has quite a history thus far. He committed to Kentucky, then de-committed and chose Gonzaga. He racked up very few minutes and a few DNPs as a freshman, and now he's on the move again. Truthfully, it could be a good move when all is said and done. Vilarino was somewhat expendable for the Kentuckys and Gonzagas of DI, but he'll be a major piece for the Mountaineers and their first-time head coach.

That's not to say these two departures (and we haven't mentioned the other two yet) won't impact the Zags. Last season, only Elias Harris and Manny Arop had a higher three-point percentage than Kong. Arop only took 8 three-pointers and is more of a defensive presence while Harris will probably be featured more on the interior in 2011. Without Kong, the Zags' best chance for an outside threat comes in the form of Steven Gray.

Help may be on the way. Few's class of 2010 is composed of two shooting guards. Marquise Carter is a JuCo transfer, but true freshman Keegan Hyland may be the long-term answer behind the arc. In addition, the SlipperStillFits.com crew wax poetic about German recruit Mathis Monninghoff, calling him a "Micah Downs clone, with an even more complete and developed offensive game.".
