Blowouts and Gonzaga are not usually words seen on the same page. What made this year so uncharacteristic, frustrating and embarrassing ? We can't seem to find the answer but we better. Gonzaga does not get the benefit of the doubt This year, despite this team's success and it exceeding expectations, the powers that be, in college basketball have very short and skewed memories, Their spin, we don't belong with the big boys in college basketball and Duke, Syracuse and the WCC loses are their smoking gun. What happened and why ? Is it coaching failures, youth and immaturity, emotional disintegration as opposed to emotional acceleration? I Think it's all of the above, but most of all it was this team's inability to handle frustration. Remember their faces when things went bad, you didn't see strength and determination. You saw weakness and futility. Remember Adam Morrison, Blake Steppe, and Dickau's faces when they faced adversity during a game. They all had an intensity which was fueled by the adversity. It's easy to succeed and look like a star when things are going well but true warriors emerge in the darkest hours.
BRAVE HEARTS STEP FORWARD GONZAGA NEEDS YOU !
