Why do we disintegrate ?
Are we swept up in our own hype which causes us to be overconfident and ill prepared ? Or does a marginal and lackluster start escalate into disaster because we are so use to being on and in control ? Whatever the reason, it is contagious among our players during an off game (. Miss , rim out, air ball, unable to finish), they all seem to break down when we need someone to break out. Great teams allow their great players to have off nights, that's when the other players step up. We seem to step down. Do we mentally beat ourselves because we cannot accept disappointment and failure during the game ? Do we have no one other than MATT that can shake this, take over and finish? If that answer is yes, then we all better be praying to Saint Al now, to keep Matt firings on all cylinders. Tonight there was no sight of T.U.R.F. OR MATT.

Mark Few is not a great game coach. He never has been.
He’s an amazing “face of the university,” great recruiter, and a good guy, but the Zags always drop a game here or there they have no business losing, seem to run the most random lineups at times, and often feel like they underperformed their talent level. It’s something we just have to deal with as fans.
Playing down to another's level...
I’m a huge fan of the Zags and also find it unfortunate when I see them play down to a team like San Fransisco. I don’t think it’s that the Zags are pompous or that they underestimate such a team, some squads simply have another’s number.
I think of Wake Forest as the thorn in Duke’s side for a while, or maybe that was just Dick Vitale’s mic butting in to J.J. Reddick!
