Jumping on the Keita Bandwagon, hey, can I drive?
Holy cow, Mathis Keita looked good. I felt like he was the number one difference maker among our perimeter guys. Xavier's Tu Holloway, who I think I mildy underestimated in a previous post, is probably as potent a scorer, and as quick a person as we will face. His shot is a little suspect, as was the team as a whole; still, they were having their way with our defense. Dante Jackson impressed me, as well.
I felt like with Keita, they were surprised at both his length (he cut off large parts of the court with his ability to swipe long passes), and his foot, and especially HAND SPEED, reminiscent of GPayton, haha. He made their offense positively uncomfortable! Stark contrast to their comfort, and extreme confidence, without Keita on court.
I say, WAY TO GO MR LLOYD, MONNINGHOFF AND KEITA, WHY DO PEOPLE EVER DOUBT YOU. The man whiffs now and then, but come on.
