Adam Morrison Waived by Washington Wizards

I was very hopeful that Amo would make the Wizards team. I thought he would get a legitimate shot and be able to stick and contribute but, he was waived by the Wizards yesterday, so this was very hard to put this up.

Maybe the next route is for Adam to try the European route where the money can be quite lucrative. Or maybe he can try the N.B.A. Developmental League where he will be close at hand if there is a sudden need with another team because of injury. At the very least he could get his level of game play up as he has not played for two years while sitting on the bench in L.A., where he won two Championship rings.

This is a sad day and could very well be the end of Adam's N.B.A. career that started out so promising. I could blame it on his ACL injury in his second year, but I have come to the realization that lots of players make it back from that. It may be that he just could not overcome his defensive deficiencies nor hit his shot when it needed to fall.

He made his millions and is entitled to the N.B.A. lifetime pension fund so he has been fortunate in that respect. Which brings me to the question: Should Amo retire and find something else to do? Or, does he have a legitimate chance to still make an N.B.A. team?
