Matt Bouldin ranked #1 non-BCS player

In case you missed Seth Davis' Mailbag today he ranked the top non-BCS players and our own Matt Bouldin came out on top.  Looking at the list I would have to agree that I would take Matt over Jimmer, Omar and Luke Babbit.  I was a bit surprised to see that Elias Harris didn't make the list but I am positive that he would come through as #1 non-BCS Frosh.

1. Matt Bouldin, 6-foot-5 senior guard, Gonzaga. Leads the 13th-ranked Zags in points, assists, steals, minutes and free throw percentage. Might be the most versatile player in America, and that includes Evan Turner.

He also said this...

(wake forest fan asking why he wasn’t giving them top 25 love)

Wake Forest is arguably one of the best 25 teams in the country, but I disagree with Phillip that losing at Miami isn’t a bad loss. Also, maybe this is a little unfair, but I have to put an asterisk on that win at Gonzaga because Elias Harris, the Zags’ stud freshman forward, was ejected in the first half for throwing a flagrant elbow. If the Deacs can knock off Georgia Tech in Atlanta this weekend, I’ll give them strong consideration next week.

Very cool for Matt!

I may be biased but I still think it’s a good win for Wake. Gonzaga has proved to be tough to beat at home and, regardless of the circumstancs, Wake walked out with the W.

will the committee

take into account that GU would’ve won by 20+ if the Elias incident hadn’t happened? Still a tough W, but as the season goes on it looks more and more like we would be in big trouble without Harris.

Senior

He is having a great senior campaign! He is an intriguing NBA prospect and I truly believe he will go 1st round. I know he isn’t projected there right now, but I think his stock dropped after that Duke game. Remember he was coming off a concussion and you could certainly tell he didn’t have his balance back. Aside from the game he is having a phoenomal season!

Careful ZagsFanatic!

You and Seth may see the wrath of EDZ on this one! Just kidding EDZ, I know ya love him, who couldn’t after the 4 years he’s given to the Zags Fans? Nice job Matt!

Not a surprise to those that watch him play.

Matt has been very impressive this year.

Actually, I thought he was very impressive last year too.
