Another '09 Recruit on the Radar!!!

                                                                           Derrick_williams_medium

I just ran across this when I was looking at ESPN. Obviously, Gonzaga is not one of the favorites at this point, but its interesting to see the Zags on his list. If there is anyway for Gonzaga to pick up Williams, I would be so excited. He is one of the most underrated players in the country.

Former USC signee Derrick Williams names leaders

According to sources close to the situation, Class of 2009 forward Derrick Williams is listing Arizona and Memphis as his leaders. The former USC signee was released from his scholarship last week following former head coach Tim Floyd's resignation.

Others schools on his list include Connecticut, UCLA, Gonzaga, Arizona State, Miami, Fresno State and Nevada.

How would you guys react to another member of the 09 class?

Sounds Good.

To Me. The scholarship would the only problem for him. I’m sure other schools would give him one since we don’t have space for one.

Pass

If we were looking it should be for a strong JC Post, nothing else.

Williams is a stud

He averaged 25 and 12 at a division 2 high school, which would be the same size, if not bigger, then the biggest schools in Washington. I think he is the type of guy you make room for if he wants to come

Visiting Memphis on Sunday

Derrick will be visiting Memphis on Sunday. If he doesn’t commit, start to consider the Zags a serious player

Memphis signed a couple oof real studs Latavious Williams and Coleman at PF.
both would likely be ahead of Williams.
