Gonzaga Baseball Enters Top 25 for First Time in Three Years

After hanging out on the outside looking in for the past few weeks, the Gonzaga Bulldogs have finally broken through into the Baseball America Top 25 this week thanks to a series win over the San Diego Toreros.  Gonzaga, now 23-10 on the season, has won three consecutive series within the West Coast Conference which, unlike basketball, is quite strong.  This past weekend the Bulldogs won two of three games against USD who had previously been ranked 21 in the nation.

The Zags still have over a month to play in the 2009 season but appear to be well on their way to a very successful finish.  Gonzaga still has some tough match ups left against Pac-10 foes Arizona, Washington State, and Oregon State as well as four more series within the conference before the conference tournament starts.

Here's a look at Baseball Americas rankings...

This Is Wonderful.

Students need to attend the games more. I went to the only loss in the San Diego series and it was a good game up until San Diego exploded on offense.

We are an all-around solid baseball team. It’ll be exciting to watch.

I hate having Tuesday night class. Miss a good chunk of games! They should be able to beat WSU on Tuesday!

GO ZAGS!

yeah!!!!!

While the loss to the Heels was disappointing, it’s good to see another team of ours doing well. Go Zags!!! All the way to Omaha!!!!!!!!
