unlv deserves to be in.
I am a gonzaga fan, but based on the way we’ve been playing lately, unlv can beat gonzaga. First they defeated Utah and Arizona. Two teams that beat Gonzaga already. UNLV also played San Diego and beat them. There conference is full of decent bubble busters such as BYU, San Diego State, Utah, and even New Mexico. They have defeated BYU and lost by a close score to San Diego State.
Agreed...
UNLV is probably the last MWC team I want to see come tournament time. For a while it seemed like the Mountain West was only going to have one or two teams in but they are finally picking it up and the rest of the country’s mid-majors (i.e. St. Mary’s) are floundering.

As Much As I Agree With Almost The Entire Bracket...
Even ESPN has us at a 5 seed and playing in Portland. If we win out and Patty Mills doesn’t have a hell of a game against us in the WCC Tourney final then I think we get the scary 5/12 matchup. That’d be the only concern for me. There is always at least one.
It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out. Honestly… Arizona doesn’t belong either. Yes, they beat us and UW. But who else? 5-5 in Pac-10 isn’t going to cut it at this point. They’d have to win the Pac-10 tournament and/or win out in the regular season, which isn’t likely.
Our Brackets= If the season ended today
Teams like Arizona and UNLV and even Nebraska for that matter are sneaking in because other mid-majors that had good starts are falling off. It sucks because we like seeing mid-majors in there but at this point, Arizona is well deserving of a bid because…there is no one else that can give us their type of resume with three players like Nic Wise, Budinger and Hill. UA could be extraordinarily dangerous in the tournament, or they could flake out. But you have to remember that they will sell tickets no matter what and money is #1 right now.

I'll Agree Then...
It’s really sad to think of it in the way that you just put it, but it is completely true. One of these days Arizona won’t make it and our streak will hopefully be number one!
Tennessee out???
Haha. I understand Zaga did the Vols twice this year, but to leave out a team currently tied for first in the SEC East with non-conference neutral court wins over Siena, Georgetown, and Marquette, 24 RPI ranking, and 3 SOS? That makes zero sense. Tennessee has wins over fellow bubblers Siena and South Carolina, and Nebraska has ZERO quality wins this season and a blah conference record.

We're going to learn alot about Nebraska soon
While I think we are pretty confident that Tennessee will find their way into the tournament at the end of the season, I think Nebraska deserves the nod at this point over the Vols. This is more of a reward for the Cornhuskers (and as a CU fan I hate rewarding Nebraska). They have three quality wins over Missouri, Kansas State, and Texas (all teams pretty comfortably in at this point). I like the Big XII much more than the SEC at this point.
Both teams are going to be tested soon though as I’m pretty sure that Nebraska still has to go on the road to face Kansas, Kansas State, and Missouri on the 14th. Tennessee also probably still has away games against Kentucky, Florida, and I believe South Carolina as well.
They’ll both get their chances. I feel like Tennessee is the better team but their inconsistency has plagued them all year, especially in their two games against Gonzaga.

Correct on your accounts of Tennessee's inconsistency
and the Vols’ upcoming schedule. That said, Nebraska’s RPI and SOS are ranked 69th each, which is very weak. Losses to UMBC (RPI 212!), Iowa State, and Oregon State are pretty ugly. Tennessee is stronger in the major areas considered by the committee. Good analysis, but agree to disagree.
