Watch him around the ball! One of the things that I loved about him in HS was his presence around the ball. He’s a smart player and just seems to get in the mix all the time. Let me know how he does, thanks.

My understanding is that his game is much more geared towards the paint and playing with his back to the basket as well. I really think that he will be pushed hard for minutes next year by Dower

Sam will be scary good
Once he puts on muscle and continues to refine his game. He is a natural scorer in the post and runs the court stunningly well for a big guy

High Post
Something that hasn’t been mentioned is he’s really good around the high post. I don’t know how that fits into GU’s offense this year but he passes really well of of that position also.

Could be a great weapon
especially with a guy like Bouldin who can be so effective posting up his defender. If Rob can get steady position and finish quickly as well, that could be a great weapon

But yes, the offense will go through Matt and/or Steven. It has to. It’s hard for point guards to find a groove in these kind of games.

GJ should shoot less then Meech did last season
He has one of the uglier looking shots I’ve seen in awhile, and if he wants to play regular minutes, he needs to focus on attacking and kicking out to open shooters

That's a million dollar question
Couple things working against him…first, his ankle is obviously hurting and second he hasn’t played organized basketball in a long time. He will need time to learn the offense and adjust to american basketball. we have to be patient though.
